DIPLOMAS

Diplomas are intended to give young people a real alternative to traditional learning. They will be phased in between now and 2013.

The list of Diplomas are in the following areas will all be available by 2013:

• Environmental and Landbased

• Hospitality and Catering
• Manufacturing and Product Design

• Sport and Leisure
• Travel and Tourism
• Humanties
• Science
• Languages

Approval has been given to the North West Forum to deliver the IT Diploma in the following schools, Rhyn Park, Corbet, Marches, Lakelands from September 2008.

Further information will be available in April 2008 about what will be available across the county for September 2009.
